Oxford Group

Meeting on the Second Thursday of every month

Welcome to the Oxford Group, we meet on the second Thursday of each month and we enjoy catching up with each other with a coffee or tea and over breakfast and either listening to a knowledgeable speaker or studying a thought provoking resource series. We conclude with prayers.

Meeting at 7:30am until 09:00am means the meeting does not impact too much on the working day, on the contrary we usually feel encouraged and uplifted after each meeting and at £12 we value the regular input.

As the coordinator of this group, I would personally like to invite you to sign up below to receive our monthly invitation to this group.

Kind regards

Fiona

    Next Meeting

    Thursday, 9th March 2023

Topic: Clare Hayns, 'Unveiled - Women of the Old Testament and the choices they made'

The CBL Oxford breakfast will be held LIVE & IN PERSON on Thursday, 9th March 2023 from 7:30am to 9:00am at The Ockmill Beefeater, Oxford Road, Abingdon OX14 1AD.

In the light of ‘International Women’s Day’ it gives us great pleasure to invite Clare Hayns to our breakfast on 9th March 2023. Please consider what current or aspiring female business leader you can invite to this month’s meeting.

‘Unveiled – Women of the Old Testament and the Choices they Made’

The daughters of Zelophehad, Shiprah, Puah and Abigail were all women of the Old Testament who used their skills, resources and wit to bring about change and transformation. They have much to teach us today. Reverend Clare Hayns will explore their stories with us as she speaks about her best-selling recent book ‘Unveiled’ which was produced with her artist son Micah, and published by Bible Reading Fellowship.

Revd Clare Hayns is College Chaplain of Christ Church, Oxford. Before ordination in 2010, she ran an agency for jugglers, stilt walkers and fire performers with her husband John.

It’s unusual for us to have an author speak, let alone two in a row. Clare will have copies of her book available to purchase which I highly recommended as a beautiful gift as part of a Lenten or Advent journey.

For more information about Clare, please visit www.clarehayns.wordpress.com

For those that are not on a standing order arrangement, a buffet breakfast will be available for £12.00 and if joining virtually, the cost is £9.00 – both options may be invoiced. Please book your attendance via the buttons above.

    Yours,

    Fiona
